MediVet has an opportunity for a board-certified or residency-trained Emergency and Critical Care Specialist to join our young, growing team at Medivet in Lausanne on a full or part time basis.
The clinic is situated 2 min walking distance from the beautiful Lake Geneva in Lausanne.
We are a young team of multiple specialists (European and American college in small animal surgery, oncology, radiology, internal medicine, anesthesiology, dermatology, cardiology, dentistry and ophtalmology) and we offer 24/7 emergency and critical care. We are dedicated to providing the best care to our patients and are the largest hospital in the french speaking region of Switzerland.
We are searching for an Emergency and Critical Care Specialist who is motivated to improve and develop our emergency and critical care service. The majority of the work and case load is currently in the field of the emergency service and less in the critical care section.
Responsibilities:

Taking care of hospitalized patients

Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and documentation of all patient care and
treatment.

Train and supervise interns and residents in emergency and critical care medicine, providing
guidance and support as they develop their skills and knowledge.

Occasionally responsible for primary emergency cases including owner communication.
Applicant requirements:
-
B2 level in French or the motivation to pass it (it is an obligation to work in the medical field in Switzerland).

ACVECC, ECVECC board certified or residency trained in an ACVECC or ECVECC registered program.

Strong interest in clinical teaching and supervising of interns

The motivation to improve and develop our emergency and critical care service

Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and
patients, both orally and in writing.

A collaborative approach to patient care is essential, working effectively with other members of the clinical team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
