Job Description
Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM) invites applications for a full-
time faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in Emergency
and Critical Care (ECC). The successful candidate will join a dynamic and
collaborative team dedicated to excellence in veterinary education, clinical service, and
research.
This position involves teaching didactic lectures and practical/laboratory sessions in
Emergency and Critical Care to Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) students, as
well as providing clinical consultation services in the First Opinion Small Animal
Clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
 Deliver high-quality lectures and hands-on laboratory instruction in Emergency
and Critical Care to DVM students.
 Supervise and mentor students during clinical rotations and practical sessions.
 Provide clinical consultation and case management in the First Opinion Small
Animal Clinic, including after-hours emergency coverage on a rotating basis.

 Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of ECC
teaching materials and methods.
 Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publication, and continuing
education.
 Participate in faculty committees, accreditation processes, and other academic
service roles.
 Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for a diverse student
body.
 
Qualifications
Required:
 Willingness to reside in St Kitts on a full-time basis (Relocation provided). 
 DVM or equivalent veterinary degree.
 Completion of a residency in Emergency and Critical Care or board certification
(ACVECC, ECVECC, or equivalent).
 Demonstrated experience in clinical teaching and case management in ECC.
 Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred:
 Prior academic teaching experience at the university level.
 A record of scholarly activity or interest in research.
 Experience working in multicultural or international environments.

The Faculté de médecine vétérinaire (FMV) of the Université de Montréal is currently seeking qualified candidates for a clinician teacher position in emergency medicine and intensive care. The FMV is located in Saint-Hyacinthe, the agricultural capital of Quebec. The chosen person will work within the Centre hospitalier universitaire vétérinaire (CHUV) in collaboration with several specialists - anesthesiology, dentistry, dermatology, internal medicine, medical imaging, neurology, ophthalmology - committed to providing the best veterinary care. This selected person will work within a team comprising 3 other clinician teachers and professor in intensive care and emergency medicine, 1 to 2 resident(s), 2 to 3 specialized interns and 13 technicians in animal health.
With more than 5,365 patients presented to the Emergency Department annually, the team offers services 365 days a year and welcomes all types of cases (referred or not). In an open intensive care concept, approximately 5 hospitalized patients (1-10) are under the direct responsibility of the intensive care unit. The services have the equipment necessary to provide the best patient care, including a Servo-U mechanical ventilator, an Aimalojic hemoperfusion machine and an Entegrion VCM device.

Small animal ECC specialist - Oregon State University CCVM, USA

Oregon State University CCVM is seeking a second small animal ECC specialist. Work-life balance is of high priority at OSU- your time commitment and rank are flexible, with a minimum of 0.7 FTE (clinical track). Candidates must be completing or have completed an ACVECC or ECVECC registered residency.
They should be familiar with current diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for emergent and critical small animal patients, and ready to run a clinical service. Our Small Animal Clinic was expanded in 2019.
It currently supports thriving ECC, internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, oncology and theriogenology services. Our ICU is staffed with certified veterinary technicians around the clock with a veterinarian on-site 24 hours a day. . Students and house officers participate in a core ECC rotation, and the ECC rotation is a popular elective. The ICU has all the necessary equipment for assessment and management of the majority of emergent and critical cases. Directly adjoining the ICU is a 24-hour clinical laboratory with equipment for blood gas, hematology, cytology, coagulation and biochemistry analysis. Interventional cardiology patients, post-operative oncology, neurology and trauma patients as well as critically ill medicine patients currently populate our ICU, with an increasing demand for our services.
Oregon State University is located in the center of the Willamette Valley, approximately an hour from the Pacific Ocean and Cascade Mountains on either side. The surrounding area is known for its forests, waterfalls, covered bridges, wine grapes and fertile soil. Nearby Portland, Salem and Eugene offer more urban opportunities.
