Residency Position in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care Nantes-France
The Services of Emergency and Critical Care, Small Animal Veterinary Hospital, Department of Clinical Sciences, National School of Veterinary Medicine, Nantes FRANCE, offers a position for a Resident in small animal emergency and critical care, starting September 1, 2023. This residency position offers an ECVECC approved 3-year residency training program. The program is led by two professors in ECC, one of them an ACVECC and ECVECC diplomate. Multiple Diplomates of other EBVS Colleges are available on site
Candidates should have successfully completed a one-year rotating internship (or have at least two years of experience in small animal practice, preferably with a focus in emergency/critical care). They should have basic knowledge of the French and English languages and be willing to improve these language skills as needed to efficiently communicate with patients’ owners.

As Dr. Daniel Chan has announced his intention to step down in his role as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care after almost 12 years of service, the VECCS Board of Directors appointed a committee to make the recommendation for a replacement. Residency Position in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care, Nantes, France

This residency position offers an ECVECC approved 3-year residency training program.

Vets-Now Glasgow - ECC Specialist (or residency-trained clinician)
Looking for a change of scene? IVCE referrals are looking for another ECC Specialist (or residency-trained clinician) to work at the Vets-Now Hospital in Glasgow. This is a busy hospital with both a multi-disciplinary referral team and a large out-of-hours service. The successful candidate would join two other DECVECCs in running our daytime ECC service, receiving emergency referral cases, running the ICU and consulting on critical patients for other referral services, as well as advising and assisting the OOH team when necessary. You would also be involved in teaching OOH vets, Interns, our ECVECC Residents, and other visiting Residents from other services and facilities. As a large, busy ECC service, the usual ‘toys’ are available, including a dedicated ICU ventilator, therapeutic plasma exchange, CT, IR, TEG and a large blood product bank.
Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland and is a vibrant, energetic place, with all the culinary, sporting and cultural events you would expect for a city of 600000 inhabitants. It’s much, much better than Edinburgh! Glasgow is only a short drive from some of the most spectacular outdoor scenery and activities in Europe and has excellent transport links to the rest of the UK and the world via its international airport.
A veterinary degree registrable with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons is a pre-requisite, but our Recruitment Team can assist fully with any other visa entry requirements and work permits.
