Looking for a change of scene? IVCE referrals are looking for another ECC Specialist (or residency-trained clinician) to work at the Vets-Now Hospital in Glasgow. This is a busy hospital with both a multi-disciplinary referral team and a large out-of-hours service. The successful candidate would join two other DECVECCs in running our daytime ECC service, receiving emergency referral cases, running the ICU and consulting on critical patients for other referral services, as well as advising and assisting the OOH team when necessary. You would also be involved in teaching OOH vets, Interns, our ECVECC Residents, and other visiting Residents from other services and facilities. As a large, busy ECC service, the usual ‘toys’ are available, including a dedicated ICU ventilator, therapeutic plasma exchange, CT, IR, TEG and a large blood product bank.

Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland and is a vibrant, energetic place, with all the culinary, sporting and cultural events you would expect for a city of 600000 inhabitants. It’s much, much better than Edinburgh! Glasgow is only a short drive from some of the most spectacular outdoor scenery and activities in Europe and has excellent transport links to the rest of the UK and the world via its international airport.

A veterinary degree registrable with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons is a pre-requisite, but our Recruitment Team can assist fully with any other visa entry requirements and work permits.

Contact Dan Lewis (daniel.lewis"vets-now.com) for a confidential discussion about this role. To apply, contact Jay Hamill (jay.hamill@vets-now.com)
